New ProMinent delta® pump With optoDrive® Technology

Pittsburgh, PA — Until now, deciding which type of drive to use for diaphragm-type metering pumps always involved compromises between metering quality and process reliability on one hand and efficiency on the other. The innovative optoDrive® technology of the new ProMinent delta series eliminates those concessions. In addition to the revolutionary metering technology, ProMinent Fluid Controls, Inc. presents a new standard for metering pumps, which match all possible customer requirements.

For example, the operator can set a slow pressure stroke for virtually continuous metering that makes separate pulsation dampeners unnecessary. The drive unit automatically compensates for backpressure fluctuations in the metering line. This drive technology therefore achieves levels of metering accuracy that would otherwise require more complex and cost prohibitive systems.

In addition, a higher degree of accuracy is achieved through the pump's recognition of any gasses trapped in the liquid end. Integrated monitoring of the hydraulic metering parameters ensures a high degree of safety and reliability at low costs. optoDrive® detects broken metering lines and blockages in the system without the need for additional pressure sensors or flow monitors.

The delta® diaphragm-type metering pumps are designed for delivery rates of 3.2 gph at 232 psi (12 l/h at 16 bar) up to 21 gph at 29 psi (80 l/h at 2 bar).
