MWH Constructors Adds Two To Executive Management Team

MWH Constructors (MWHC), a leading global construction firm focused on water and energy, announced recently two strategic additions to the executive management team. Neil Tunmore has been named chief operating officer (COO), and Marco Aieta, Ph.D., P.E., has been appointed as global director of engineering.

As COO, Tunmore will provide strategic oversight of the firm’s global operations, helping MWH Constructors set and meet long-term objectives that align with a commitment to serving as a top-tier project delivery solutions provider. Prior to joining MWHC, Tunmore was employed with Intel Corporation for more than 30 years, serving in a breadth of roles in corporate construction, corporate real estate, business planning, finance and human resources, and most recently as corporate vice president and director of Intel Corporate Services.

He pulls from his extensive management and leadership experience to build high performing and motivated teams, grow customer partnerships and instill a customer service mentality. He is known for reducing costs, improving performance and setting long-term vision and strategy that help companies achieve quality results. He will provide hands-on support at MWH Constructors project sites, and will be based out of MWHC offices in Broomfield, Colo., and Stayton, Ore.

Aieta brings over 30 years of experience in alternative delivery and project management, most recently serving as chief engineer for Corona Environmental Consulting. In his newly created role as global director of engineering, Aieta will be responsible for developing a functional and profitable design-build policy aimed at better positioning MWHC as the leading provider of customized project delivery solutions. He is an internationally recognized expert known for working with clients to develop solutions for resiliency, regulatory and infrastructure challenges in the water, wastewater, and water reuse markets. He has broad experience in the areas of treatment plant detailed design, alternative delivery, strategic planning, project management, contract negotiations, and financial planning, and has been involved in the design of over 50 water, wastewater and water reuse treatment plants worldwide.

He holds a master’s degree and doctorate in environmental engineering from Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Cincinnati. He also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. Aieta will be based in the Broomfield, Colo. office.
