MICRODYN-NADIR, a leading global supplier of membrane products and the water treatment business unit of MANN+HUMMEL, held a successful grand opening of a new state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Austin, Texas on Thursday, May 3. The automated facility will produce MICRODYN BIO-CEL MBR modules for use in wastewater treatment applications.

The grand opening ceremony began with speakers from MICRODYN-NADIR and Ovivo – a leading water treatment company - followed by a tour of the 27,000-square-foot facility. Those in attendance were also treated to music and entertainment, local food trucks and drinks, as well as gift giveaways.

“We are happy to welcome customers and friends to tour our new facility,” CEO Walter Lamparter said. “This new factory will allow us to better serve our customers and is just one of the many exciting things happening at MICRODYN-NADIR.”

The new facility is MICRODYN-NADIR’s second manufacturing plant in the United States and increases the company’s growing global reach.

“MICRODYN-NADIR is investing heavily in the water and wastewater treatment industry,” MBR Product Marketing Manager Julian Klein said. “In the last year, we have expanded our MICRODYN RO product line, we will be debuting a new BIO-CEL module at IFAT 2018, and now this new facility is the latest proof of our commitment.”

The Austin facility is the first plant in the United States to produce the BIO-CEL MBR product line, which were previously - and will continue to be - built and assembled at MICRODYN-NADIR’s global headquarters in Wiesbaden, Germany.

The new facility will offer an unparalleled level of service and quality for which MICRODYN-NADIR is known. From water and wastewater, process and specialties, to industrial and pharmaceutical applications, MICRODYN-NADIR has the products, passion and expertise to meet all our customers’ needs.
