KWI is an environmental technology company that designs, manufactures, and distributes operationally proven, patented, innovative and cost-effective products to remedy contaminated water sources, prevent further pollution, and recover materials used to meet the needs of the industrial and municipal water and wastewater markets. KWI is recognized as one of the world's leading suppliers of dissolved air flotation and sandfiltration equipment that are used in the separation of liquid and solid waste in the clarification of drinking water and processing of waste water effluent.

KWI was organized in 1947 and has been active in water treatment and clarification since 1948, when the first filtration clarifier recovering fiber for recycling in the paper industry was put into operation in Italy. The first KWI unit was installed in 1956 in the United States.

Today KWI has expanded into a worldwide organization with 12 operating companies 7 branch offices and numerous agents located in over 60 countries in all continents. Led by Jerry Payne, who became president and CEO in 1999, this worldwide organization is comprised of individuals with strong technical and sales abilities and many years experience.
