Kupferle Foundry's New Eclipse #9900 'Water Quality Station' Helps Water Utilities Meet New And Existing EPA Regulations

St. Louis, MO — Kupferle Foundry's new Eclipse #9900 Water Quality Station provides water utility companies multiple options to keep water "fresh" on water main dead-ends, while also providing a secure sampling point off the main to collect water samples and keep water "safe".
The Water Quality Station combines a 4" blow-off, for high-volume flushing and scouring to remove bio-film, with an optional 1" automatic flushing device to keep chlorine residual levels at consistent recommended levels and to pass DBPs. Additionally, it features a water sampling point allowing for water samples to be collected from the water main and eliminating the risk of collecting "false positive" samples from homes and businesses. An optional low-flow continuous flushing device can also be added. "This really provides a total solution for the Water Quality Manager and Distribution Line Manager...it's a win, win for all and can really save the utility a lot of money in the long run and most importantly ensures water quality," states Dan McKeague, President and owner of Kupferle.
Kupferle's #9900 Water Quality Station has been specifically designed and engineered for the applications of flushing and sampling and is intended to be a cost-efficient replacement for placing fire hydrants on new water main dead-ends. Utilities can obtain substantial cost savings by utilizing the automatic component of the Water Quality Station while at the same time keeping consistent water quality. Additionally, as with all Kupferle products, the #9900 Water Quality Station is fully serviceable from above ground without the need for digging.
