The slot injector aeration system was introduced to the USA market in 2003. It is a proven oxygen transfer technology with over 25 years of successful operating service in Europe. The entry to the market place has focused on the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Like the conventional jet aerator, slot injectors are two-phase liquid/gas contactors but they have very unique geometrical characteristics that result in an oxygen transfer system with distinct advantages compared to conventional jet aeration systems: Capital Savings: Up to a 60% reduction in recirculated liquid flow results in smaller and/or fewer pumps as well as significant reductions in the quantity and size of the liquid piping systems.
