With accelerating global concerns about the need for water and air purification solutions, the International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA) announces the 2017 IUVA World Congress, September 17-20, 2017 in Dubrovnik, Croatia. With nearly 80 technical presentations, this unique event will present the latest on transformative ultraviolet (UV) processes for water, municipal, health, industrial and other fields that are poised to increasingly benefit from this fast emerging technology.

The 2017 World Congress of the International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA) will bring together well known academic and industrial experts from all over the world. The focus of the congress is to discuss novel developments and practical applications of UV technologies. Recent advancements in water and wastewater treatment, with the emphasis on water disinfection and contaminants control, application of UV-AOP, as well as new findings in the development of UV-LEDs will be covered. The congress starts with a workshop providing a basic understanding of UV fundamentals, along with an overview of UV considerations, special applications, and case studies across water, wastewater and reuse. The event also includes poster presentations, a plenary session, and local technical tours of treatment facilities. We will also be giving out a slate of IUVA Awards.
