Irrigation Pump Systems
Called "fertigation", the process is made possible by the combination of Neptune's Series 500 "diaPUMPs" and the company's Eiffel Fertilizer Pump Platform, creating an efficient, compact portable system that can be used on golf courses, sports fields, parks, etc.
Series 500 diaPUMPs are hydraulically actuated diaphragm metering pumps that, when used in combination with common irrigation systems, allow users to precisely adjust the amount of fertilizer applied per acre, so that the turf receives exactly the correct dosage.
Optional variable speed drive automatically adjusts dosage to changes in water flow.
These pumps maintain a metered discharge accuracy of +1%, allowing turf management professionals to spoon feed nitrogen to the grass at a slower rate than with topically applied, quick-release fertilizers. The "spoon-feed" method has been proven to result in healthier root structures, less need for water and greater resistance to infestation by diseases and insects.
Single-head (simplex) pumps are available with capacities from 2.0 gph to 80 gph.
Also available are dual-head pumps that permit users to feed fertilizers and chemicals simultaneously from the same unit.
The Eiffel Fertilizer Pump Platform on which the Series 500 diaPUMP sits is a single-piece platform molded from strong, lightweight polyethylene for easy lifting and handling. It integrates the pump controls and wiring for complete portability.
