Innovative Technology To Stabilize Distribution System Water Quality

San Rafael, CA — PAX Water Technologies will be introducing its patented mixing system for water storage reservoirs at the AWWA Expo in Toronto this June, and has been selected to participate in this year's New Product Technology Showcase.

The PAX Water Mixer is rooted in the principals of biomimicry, a new approach to engineering that takes its inspiration from forms and processes found in nature. PAX's core impeller technology leverages a basic principle that nature applies universally to reduce friction and drag in flow structures, plants, and animals: the underlying shape of all natural fluid flow has a common mathematical basis. This principle is being broadly applied in the design of efficient fans, pumps, propellers and turbines by PAX Water's parent company, PAX Scientific.

Mixing of potable water reserves is an effective means of preventing water quality deterioration. The PAX Water Mixer can effectively eliminate thermal stratification, rapidly and uniformly distribute disinfectant chemicals, and minimize water age – independent of operations – with minimal energy consumption and a simple and easy to install configuration.
