Inclined Plate Clarifiers
Design of these units is based on our 20+ years of operating experience and research into clarifier design.
Problem
Suspended solids are commonly removed from wastewater prior to reuse or discharge. Several methods are presently available for removal of suspended solids from water: sedimentation, hydrocyclones, pressure filtration, and ultrafiltration are commonly encountered. Sedimentation using a clarifier is the process of choice for use in many areas, such as removal of precipitated heavy metals and flocculated solids, where solids loading is heavy, flows are high, simplicity of operation is important, and operating cost is a major factor.

Solution
ProChemTech, a supplier of industrial wastewater treatment and reuse systems, manufactures a line of inclined plate clarifiers with rated flows from 5 gpm to 600 gpm. Design of these units is based on our 20+ years of operating experience and research into clarifier design.
Unique design features:
-zero head loss entry into the flocculation chamber
-equal area baffled plate pack entry throat
-flat short length, hard glossy finish fiberglass plates
-sludge bed isolated from plate pack entry area
-60 degree slope pyramid shape sludge hopper
-adjustable V notch effluent weirs set above the plate packs
