ILME Connectors
By using ILME's heavy duty multipole connectors you can! These connectors are used in electrical and electronic equipment, control units, control panels, and wherever connections are required for power and signaling circuits.
ILME connectors facilitate the manufacturing, installation and maintenance of sectionable electrical parts with the use of multi-conductor cables between the machinery and the control panel. They can be used with alternate or direct current.
ILME inserts are fire resistant and available for a number of different connection techniques including inserts using screw terminals, crimp terminals or spring connection terminals. Contacts are made of silver, gold-plated brass, or thermocoupling material. There are many different varieties of inserts depending upon rated voltage (250V to 690V), rated current (10A to 80A), the number of poles and different load combinations (power and signal poles on the same insert).
The contacts are protected by housings that are specifically made for either normal or aggressive environmental conditions. Housing features include:
- Made of die cast aluminum alloy or self-extinguishing thermoplastic
- Resistant to shock and mechanical stress
- Single or double closing stainless steel devices that ensure coupling stability and protection against accidental opening
- Special gaskets keep the contact groups sealed away from dust and aggressive agents.
Together these components allow you to wire to a multi-conductor cable for much easier installation than having to wire to multiple terminal blocks. This is especially advantageous when using movable machinery.
