IDRA Appoints Michael Bjorn Of Danfoss To Board Of Directors

Appointment strengthens IDRA’s leadership in innovation, sustainability, and global water solutions
The International Desalination and Reuse Association (IDRA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Bjorn, Vice President, High Pressure Pumps in Danfoss Climate Solutions, and representing Danfoss, to its Board of Directors, filling the European board seat.
Michael Bjorn brings extensive experience in sustainable technologies, industrial innovation, and global water and energy solutions. Through his leadership at Danfoss —an international leader in energy-efficient solutions for water, energy, and industrial sectors—Michael has played a key role in advancing technologies that improve system efficiency, reduce emissions, and support climate resilience.
“Michael’s deep expertise at the intersection of water, energy, and sustainability makes him a highly valued addition to the IDRA Board,” said Shannon McCarthy, Secretary General of IDRA. “Danfoss has long been a leader in driving efficient and scalable solutions, and Michael’s perspective will strengthen IDRA’s mission to accelerate desalination and water reuse globally.”
