Hydromax USA And Detection Services Sign A Memorandum Of Understanding To Enter Into An Exclusive Licensing Agreement To Deliver Pipeline Inspection Services To The Water And Sewer Sectors In The United States And Canada

Hydromax USA also announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Detection Services, Australia, to enter into an exclusive licensing agreement to deliver pipeline inspection services to the water and sewer sectors in the United States, Canada, and to other selected markets. The signing took place at the AWWA ACE2016 Annual Conference this week, where Hydromax USA is exhibiting its offering broad portfolio of infrastructure condition assessment services, and satellite based leak detection technology.

Under the proposed agreement, Hydromax USA will be the exclusive provider of Detection Services’ pipeline inspection technologies to the US and Canadian Markets. Hydromax USA is already providing infrastructure condition assessment programs impacting hundreds of thousands of assets to clients throughout the United States as well as non‐revenue water solutions including satellite leak detection technology.

p‐Cat utilizes an advanced technique that uses fluid transient pressure waves for detecting the sizes and locations of pipeline defects including corrosion and cement mortar lining spalling, material changes, leak locations, air pockets, the sealing status of valves, and cross connections. The technology enables the non‐invasive diagnosis of pipeline condition from a deployment distance of greater than 1 mile along a pipeline without disruption of current service and provides the identification of pipeline anomalies down to 30 foot increments along the pipe length. Detection Services has successfully deployed the technology on nearly 400 miles of critical infrastructure pipeline for over 70 different pipeline systems in the Australian and New Zealand markets.

“Introduction of Detections Services’ non‐invasive pipe condition assessment to the US and Canadian market will address the challenges faces by current technologies currently being employed. The introduction of non‐invasive p‐Cattm technology will strike an effective balance between expensive invasive solutions, and other non‐invasive solutions lacking granular visibility.” Shane Majetich – Hydromax USA ‐ Manager, National Water Distribution System Services
