Performance monitoring of Up-Flo® Filter has been reviewed and certified by the Washington State Technology Assessment Protocol - Ecology (TAPE) for General Use Level Designation (GULD) to remove Total Suspended Solids and phosphorus from stormwater.

Portland, ME /PRWEB/ - Performance monitoring of Hydro International Up-Flo® Filter has been reviewed and certified by the Washington State Technology Assessment Protocol - Ecology (TAPE) for General Use Level Designation (GULD) to remove Total Suspended Solids and phosphorus from stormwater.

The initial Up-Flo® Filter was developed in 2006 in collaboration with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and has since been modified to include the most effective media types to address region-specific regulatory requirements.

“We match the media to the regulatory objective,” said Jeremy Fink, Senior Product Development Engineer with Hydro International. “As a result, the Up-Flo® Filter product line has been through more regulatory, field and lab testing than likely any stormwater filter on the market.”

Versions of Up-Flo® Filter have been approved, certified, accepted and verified by the most stringent testing or regulatory bodies in North America, including but not limited to:

  • NJCAT - New Jersey Corporation for Advanced Technology
  • NJDEP - New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP)
  • Florida Department of Environmental Protection
  • Virginia Department of Environmental Quality
  • Georgia Technology Assessment Protocol
  • Harris County Texas
  • California Water Board
  • Washington State Technology Assessment Protocol - Ecology (TAPE)

Up-Flo® Filter has over a thousand installations across the United States and Canada, with the bulk of them currently on the East Coast.

“TAPE certification means extending a high-performance filter to West Coast engineers,” said Dave Scott, Technical Product Manager. “Having a filter option that uses less operating head and less drop will save site space and give designers more flexibility.”

Engineers working on active filter projects who would like to save site space should contact Hydro International.

The first engineer to specify Up-Flo® Filter in either Washington, Oregon or California will receive free registration to StormCon 2019 in Atlanta, Georgia, which is valued at $625.00.*

*The project must go on to be won by Hydro International and winners will agree to being used in promotional materials and social media.
