Hollow Fiber Membranes
The systems employ outside-to-inside flow across each hollow fiber. The mechanical strenght of each fiber enabled the membrane to withstand high transmembrane pressures, in both forward and reverse flow modes, provide double protection against bypass of contaminants and maintain resistance to oxidants such as chlorine, ozone, and permanganate.
The fibers also treat municipal wastwater to prepare water for reuse as irrigation water, industrial boiler feed make-up and for re-injection into fresh water aquifiers as a barrier against brackish intrusion. The system can be integrated with existing treatment infrastructure or as a stand-alone unit.
