Hancor Introduces its "Rolled Rim" Design
The company's new, technologically-advanced coupling system features an innovative bell design which Hancor officials say will allow for faster and easier installation.
This "Rolled Rim" design will stand up even better to the demanding handling and jobsite conditions.
"This is not a new product, but a product enhancement that we're very excited about," said Bill Altermatt, the Vice President of Marketing at Hancor. "What it does is make a great product even greater."
The "Rolled Rim" design refers to the robust, rounded edge which strengthens the outer edge of Sure-Lok pipe giving the bell added strength and allowing for increased flare of the bell, both of which translate to easier and quicker installation and ultimately increased value for customers.
"Hancor is willing to listen to my comments regarding Sure-Lok pipe and turn them into product solutions," said Jim Paris, President of J.S. Paris Excavating, Canfield, OH. "Installation has been made much easier because of its strength in the bell at the flared end. Additionally, the joint is a solid coupling system and gives me the comfort of installing an excellent product that will last forever."
Sure-Lok pipe with the "Rolled Rim" enhancement is available in 10" – 30" diameters. Original Sure-Lok pipe will remain available in diameters 4" – 8" and 36" – 60". All Sure-Lok pipe continues to meet AASHTO specifications and is complemented by a complete line of fittings. Hancor is currently supplying its customers in the Midwest with the "Rolled Rim" designed product and this product innovation will be phased into other regions over the coming months.
