Innovation-Driven Growth at Grundfos Earns Frost & Sullivan Acclaim

Based on its annual analysis of the global water and wastewater pumps market, Frost & Sullivan recognized Grundfos with the 2018 Global Company of the Year Award for its exceptional organic growth and focus on innovation.

The Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Awards are presented each year to companies that are predicted to encourage significant growth in their industries, have identified emerging trends before they become the standard, and have created advanced technologies that will catalyze and transform their industries. Grundfos’ efficient, sustainable solutions lead the industry for product development in the water and wastewater pumps market. In 2018, Grundfos set records for its organic growth as a company.

“At Grundfos, we anticipate challenges municipalities and operators will face and solve them,” said Robert Montenegro, executive vice president of sales for Grundfos Water Utility. “Sustainability is at the core of who we are as a company. We are honored to be recognized for the outstanding work of our entire team to grow, innovate and best serve the world’s water and wastewater needs.”

As part of its focus on innovation, Grundfos established a digital task force to successfully address digitalization in its products and operations. With offerings, such as Grundfos Remote Management (GRM) and Wastewater Network Connect (WWNC), Grundfos is maximizing performance of water and wastewater systems through data collection and analysis, system intelligence, and proactive notifications to operators.

"Grundfos was among the first companies to introduce an off-grid water supply solution with its solar-powered pumping system in 1982," said Fredrick Royan, Vice President at Frost & Sullivan. "More recently, it introduced the borehole pump for submerged applications and became the first pump manufacturing company to integrate software into its products to support bidirectional communication between the hardware and its operators. By pioneering this technology, Grundfos avoided commoditization and outperformed the competition."

Grundfos has production and distribution throughout the U.S., including a recently opened distribution and testing facility in Deerfield Beach, Florida, to serve the growing water and wastewater needs of the Southeast.
