Groundwater Week 2025 Sets Records For Attendance And Exhibitors, NGWA Swears-In First Female President

Annual trade show in New Orleans was the largest ever held outside of Las Vegas

Groundwater Week 2025 marked another milestone year for the National Ground Water Association (NGWA), setting records for exhibit space and attendance at a non-Las Vegas show. The event also included the swearing-in of the Association’s first female president, Seth Kellogg, PG.

Groundwater Week is the groundwater industry’s flagship event, bringing together professionals from around the world for three days of education, networking, product demonstrations, and industry events. Held December 9–11 in New Orleans, Louisiana, and co-located with the Irrigation Association, the conference drew 4,712 attendees from all 50 states and 35 countries and featured a record 81,900 square feet of exhibit space.

“We’re grateful for another record-setting Groundwater Week that caps a successful and busy year for the industry,” said NGWA CEO Terry S. Morse, CAE, CIC. “We appreciate everyone taking time to meet, learn, network, and be encouraged about the industry’s future. But most of all, we can’t wait to see everyone again in Vegas in 2026”

The Exhibit Hall featured 299 exhibitors showcasing innovations that advance safety, efficiency, and adaptability in the groundwater industry, including 38 first-time exhibitors.

Nearly 40 workshops addressed industry challenges across eight topic areas. For the first time, NGWA introduced a cross-sectional education track, “Crossroad of Collaboration: Better Together in Action,” bringing together all four membership sections to explore topics such as well development, mentoring future professionals, and identifying well fouling.

During the Delegates Meeting, Seth Kellogg, PG, was sworn in as NGWA’s 2026 president, becoming the first woman to lead the Association. A senior principal geologist at Geosyntec Consultants, Kellogg plans to focus her presidency on workforce development, including a multi-year strategy with measurable goals.

“We want to make sure we’re good stewards of the Association’s resources,” said the 53-year-old who is NGWA’s 75th president.

NGWA announced that Groundwater Week 2026 will be held December 8–10 in Las Vegas, Nevada, again co-locating with the Irrigation Association.
