These models range from the saturated to the vadose zone and from parameter estimation to nonaqueous transport.

GeoTrans is internationally recognized for its expertise in all aspects of environmental modeling, data management, and predictive simulation. The company has performed over 250 groundwater modeling projects to delineate the nature and extent of contamination, identify and evaluate remedial remedies, evaluate and identify potential release sources, predict release dates, and evaluate the effectiveness of existing and/or proposed remedial actions. Evaluating the performance and cleanup effectiveness of alternative corrective actions at environmentally-impaired properties is a specialty of our firm. Application of complex modeling enables an evaluation of potentially feasible remedial alternatives prior to the expense of field implementation. Often, our analysis of cleanup effectiveness and remedial system optimization is used to provide our clients and regulators with realistic expectations regarding the outcome of proposed remedial activities. Innovative modeling and presentation applications developed by GeoTrans include:

  • Development and application of simulation models for groundwater flow and transport;
  • Development and application of environmental data management systems using ArcView GIS;
  • Application and integration of relational databases and Geographical Information Systems with groundwater models; and
  • Computer analysis and visualization of development and transport processes for evaluation of environmentally-impaired
