Great River UOC, A Division Of Central States Water Resources, Acquires New Water And Wastewater Systems In Mississippi

The Mississippi Public Service Commission has approved Great River Utility Operating Company’s acquisition of 26 water and wastewater systems in Mississippi.

One of the fifteen largest investor-owned utilities in the United States with a focus on improving water and wastewater service to underserved communities across the country, the acquisitions mark CSWR’s entrance into providing utility services in the state of Mississippi.

The acquisition includes the following systems: Affordable Homes of Vicksburg (Warren County), Belmor Lakes Utility (DeSoto County), Cedar Creek Development (Adams County), Coast Waterworks (Harrison County), Culkin Utility Co. (Warren County), Delta Rain (Lafayette and Tate counties), DeSoto Sewer (DeSoto County), Enviroserve (Warren County), H&B Corporation (Warren County), Ironwood Utilities (Warren County), King Farms Development (Lauderdale County), Lipe Waterworks Co. (Panola and Yalobusha counties), Oakland Waterworks (Adams County), Pecan Village (Warren County), Ring Road Utility Company (Warren County), Robertson Utilities of Oxford (Lafayette County), S2 Environmental (Hinds and Lamar counties), Shelby Place Utility of Oxford (Lafayette County), Taylor Greene Wastewater Processing (Lafayette County), The Lakes of Oxford Utility Company (Lafayette County), Twelve Oaks Utility Company (Lafayette and Union counties), Utility One (Warren County), Wallace LTD (Warren and DeSoto counties), West Coast Lumber Industries (Warren County), Westover West Sewage Company Inc. (Lamar County) and Pecan Lakes Utility (Forrest County).

Great River UOC will serve approximately 6,800 connections across the state of Mississippi. The company plans to invest more than $8M in water and wastewater system improvements across the state.
