Great Lakes Water Authority's Intelligent Water Experience
Source: AVEVA
The Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) pays about $20M for its water pumping energy costs. To evaluate realātime pumping efficiency, GLWA conducted an efficiency evaluation utilizing records from various digital meters installed at its water-pumping stations. This webinar will discuss the development of the program, including the use of SCADA and OSIsoft’s PI System to automate pump flow and efficiency calculations, and how the information was used to identify oversized or inefficient pumps, correct to the preferred operating range and best efficiency point, and realize substantial energy savings for GLWA.
