The ancient city of Ayodhya, considered one of the holiest in India, faced water supply challenges with its outdated system, marked by oversized pipes and massive leaks causing 50% nonrevenue water. Geoinfo Services stepped in to redesign the water system, introducing variable frequency drives (VFDs) for energy-efficient pump operation.

Utilizing OpenFlows solutions, Geoinfo modeled the entire system, ensuring a consistent water supply with reduced carbon emissions by 347 tons annually and an annual electricity cost saving of USD 46,025. The improved water quality is set to lower residents' monthly medical costs by 50%, while the digital twin allows continuous monitoring for swift issue resolution, making Ayodhya a model for sustainable water management.
