  • G2O no longer representative of multiple technologies on offer
  • New growth strategy and round of investment to be marked by new brand
  • Considerable excitement around the company from observers

UK technology business Evove (formerly G2O Water Technologies) changes company name and brand to reflect a new growth strategy and the development of advanced Separonic membranes.

“We have outgrown G2O”, said Chris Wyres, CEO, commenting on the December 7 launch of the new company name and brand. “The business has matured: our team and partner network is growing, our product range has increased from a single technology offering to a multiplatform portfolio and the range of applications we address has expanded. Hence, it was time to evolve the brand to reflect this transition. As Evove, we are engaging with clients and partners to deliver transformational solutions for filtering and treating water, at the core of which are our advanced membrane technologies.”.

The business has successfully applied graphene oxide coatings and a variety of 3D-printed spacer and insert technologies that enhance the performance of conventional membranes. It is now developing a product line called Separonics, which uses advanced engineering and additive manufacturing techniques to completely redesign and optimise the 3D architecture of ceramic and polymer membranes, delivering transformational performance gains for water treatment across a broad range of sectors and applications. This includes recycling of industrial waste waters, resource harvesting, desalination, food and beverage, life sciences, domestic and municipal.

“We’re on the cusp of announcing some exciting new products and about to commence a new round of investment to scale them up for clients all around the world”, commented COO Craig Clement. “The time is right to mark this with a new brand and company name that better reflects the rapid growth and change we have successfully navigated recently as a business.”

Chief Marketing Officer, Andrew Walker, described the new brand as “…a refreshing new look for a company that is starting to have a strong impact in client projects and engage with new market sectors and geographies. Evove is not only a palindrome and the logo designed to be symmetrical, symbolising circularity, but of course stands for the evolving nature of our clients businesses, as well as our own transformation from a start-up using graphene to a multi-technology scale-up with a large pipeline of business.”

Wyres, Walker and Clement launched the new brand in an online event on December 7 with key clients, stakeholders and staff who shared the excitement in the direction the company is taking. Attending the event, global thought leader in water, Will Sarni, commented, “This is a company that has set forth to solve wicked water problems with transformational technologies that will enable a far greater uptake of water recycling at a local level and for precious resources to be recovered from fluids, like lithium from geothermal waters, or dairy products from whey. It’s exciting to see first-hand what is going on behind the scenes. I believe we will see and hear a lot more from Evove in the months and years to come.”

About Evove Ltd.
Evove is a fast-growing technology business with a portfolio of technologies that reduce the cost and environmental impact of the filtration and separation of fluids in a variety of sectors. The products either harness coating materials (such as graphene oxide) and a variety of 3D-printed enhancements to boost the performance of conventional membranes, or, with Separonics precision-engineered membranes, will provide transformational productivity gains to selectivity and flux, operational efficiency, energy consumption and equipment lifetime.
