Four Companies Join Under Messer Advanced Gas Systems
Mahler AGS (Germany), Generon (USA), Italfilo Engineering (Italy) and SMC Asia Gas Systems Company (China) will operate as one company under Messer AGS. As each company specializes in various gas generation markets around the world, products will continue to be offered under these individual brand names.
Mahler AGS focuses on engineering and manufacturing units for applications requiring high flow rates of on-site generated N2 and O2. Industries served by Mahler's NITROSWING and OXYSWING lines include wastewater treatment; metallurgy; heat treatment; chemicals; combustion; industrial glass; pulp and paper; and ozone production.
Generon designs, engineers and manufactures on-site nitrogen and oxygen generating units for industrial-purity N2 and low-flow O2. Their product lines are suited for modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) and controlled atmosphere storage & marine transport (of food and produce); oil and gas (offshore and drilling operations); chemical blanketing and purging; ozone production; wastewater treatment; aquaculture; cutting and welding; glass art; medical applications; and soldering.
Italfilo Engineering specializes in engineering and manufacturing units that produce low-flow, high-purity nitrogen for industries such as gold art; laser cutting; heat treatment; wine sparging; and modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) in the food industry. Italfilo's oxygen generating units are suited for the chemical industry, ozone production and wastewater treatment applications.
SMC Asia Gas Systems Company focuses on manufacturing both low- and high-flow systems covering all purity ranges for O2 and N2. Based in Chengdu, Sichuan, China, SMC offers full sales and service support for Generon, Mahler AGS and Italfilo.
Messer AGS is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Messer Group, headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
