Flygt Pumps Handle Too Much Of A Good Thing
Source: Xylem Wastewater Solutions

In Iowa, where agriculture is a critical component of the state’s economy, rain is good for crops, but too much rain is not good for anyone. In 2008 the Des Moines Metropolitan Wastewater Reclamation Authority (WRA) retained consulting engineer HDR to provide planning, permitting, design, construction, and start-up services for a high-rate CSO treatment facility called the Combined Sewer Solids Separation Facility or CSSSF. The facility was to be capable to reduce the adverse impacts of wet weather flows to the existing nearby wastewater reclamation facility.
