Florida Sinkholes & Dependence On Water From Floridian Aquifers Causes Alarm For Residents, Which Can Be Helped By Water Conservation Technology From Water Select®

Thousands of sinkholes in Florida cause alarm for residents that question low Aquifer water levels as being part of the problem. Water Select® allows Florida residents to conserve water with new green technology that can make a big difference if everyone works together using these new advances and educating the public about current fresh water challenges.
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) - Florida residents are expressing concern about the amount of sinkholes that seem to be popping up more frequently. Research shows that it is partially due to the draining of Florida’s Aquifer system. Water Select® addresses water conservation with advances in new water-saving green technology allowing water resources to become managed more effectively. Conserve water and save money on utilities. The Southwest Florida Water Management District shows that sinkholes can threaten fresh water supplies by draining water from lakes, wetlands, and streams. It also states that lack of rainfall during times of drought and lower water levels can contribute to sinkhole development. Source -http://www.swfwmd.state.fl.us/hydrology/sinkholes/
Groundwater levels in Florida are lowered by drought which can prompt the collapse of cavity roofs by reducing buoyant support. Hydrostatic pressure is provided by the water which extends onto the clay layers that separate shallow aquifers from the deeper Floridian aquifers below it that contain the drinking water. “A natural drought or pumping too much groundwater can leave underground cavities empty. This can make conditions favorable for sinkholes to form.” Florida sinkholes can be triggered by human activities such as over-pumping of groundwater, diverting surface water from large areas, drilling new water wells, creating artificial ponds, and new construction. To make matters even worse, The U.S. Geological Survey ( USGS ) is discontinuing operation on a large number of stream gages that monitor Aquifer water levels due to budget cuts as a result of Sequestration. Stream gages are used nationwide in the Aquifer systems to predict drought conditions. The State of Florida was one of the most affected by this as seen on the map.
Drought & fresh water scarcity across the US is becoming a bigger challenge every year. This is why cities nationwide have drought conditions and water restrictions every summer. It is obvious that there is a water shortage when waste water treatment companies need to treat toilet water and dump it back into the Aquifers.
Many people believe the depletion and heavy use of underground Aquifers across America is not a concern, and that the government will resolve these problems. This might be the case in a fairy tale story book, but people living in the real world need to come up with real solutions for a very real growing problem. It’s time to wake up and smell the coffee America; otherwise there may not be much water to brew it with in the near future.
Many states in the US are having problems with the rapid depletion of aquifers and water reserves so this technology will greatly benefit all populated areas. Safeguarding our reserves of fresh water, as well as acknowledging the environmental ramifications of the depletion of underground aquifers depends on unified public participation. State Government & City endorsement and support through guidance and rebates will benefit all communities encouraging mass participation.
Water Select® provides effective water conservation and lowers energy bills for residents which will stretch the water supply and help contain delivery and treatment costs.
