Filtration: SUB-K Filtration Separator
Brochure: SUB-K Separator
A separator installed on the intake side of a submersible pump causing filtration, preventing sand from entering the pump, and thereby extending the life of the pump.
Designed Primarily For:
Submersible pumps.
NOTE: the SUB-K must be set in the well at least 30 feet below the drawdown water level (when the pump is operating) and no less than 20 feet from the bottom of the well itself. This allows ample room for discarded sand to settle. Refer to the diagrams at the bottom of this page for more information.
For larger submersible pumps and for all turbine pumps, please use the PPS Separator.
Selecting the Right Model:
Proper selection of these products involves matching the flow rate of the pump with the appropriate separator filtration model.
Accessories:
A SUB-KOOL pump enclosure shell is required in greater-than-4-inch diameter wells to ensure the incoming water/sand passes through the SUB-K before entering the inlet slots of the submersible pump.
