Filtomat, Inc. was founded in 1994 as the sole distributor for Filtomatâ products in the US and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Filtration Ltd. an ISO 9002 certified company. All products manufactured by Filtration Ltd. conform to the European CE standard for hydraulically controlled filters.

Filtration Ltd. was established in 1976 and is a recognized world leader in the design and manufacture of the Filtomatâ line of advanced automatic self-cleaning water filters. The FiltomatÒ family of filters are used extensively in Irrigation and Cooling water applications, not to mention for drinking water and Municipal and Industrial Wastewater. The original Filtomatâ design of self-cleaning filters started with the M300 series that continues to be a leader in the water filtration industry. Although it is imitated by many competitors its innovative design defies duplication.

Further R&D efforts have brought Filtomatâ to new heights and the latest improvements can be seen in the new M100 series of filters that were released to the US market late in 1998. The MCFM families of filters (released in 1995) represent another major development in the Filtomatâ line. The MCFM is the only pressurized filter designed for continuous flushing which allows the end-user to have a large fluctuation in dirt-loading without experiencing a disruption in throughput. Another major innovation is in the MT33P filter (released in 1997) that can offer fine filtration down to 3 m utilizing an innovative non-disposable media consisting of polyester textile threads. The threads are spun around a grooved ABS plastic spool that is specially designed to allow the clean water to flow through the threads while the dirt and contaminants are collected on and in-between the threads.
