FieldCare

FieldCare is Endress+Hauser's FDT based Plant Asset Management Tool that provides a range of functionality from device parametrization to engineered Condition Monitoring solutions. It can configure all intelligent field devices in your plant and supports you in managing them. By using status information, it also provides a simple but effective means of checking their health.

FieldCare 2.08.00 supports Windows 7®
FieldCare supports Windows 7®. It includes all components which are distributed on the FieldCare DVD namely the FieldCare FDT Frame, the DTMs, the commDTMs and the according drivers.

The supported Windows 7® versions are: Professional, Ultimate, Enterprise. As well 32 bits as 64 bits architecture running with the above Windows 7® versions are supported.

FieldCare 2.08.00 integration with W@M Enterprise 03.03

W@M connectivity comes with the basic PAM license, but must be activated before use. It allows the Endress+Hauser W@M Internet portal to be opened from a device node in the Network View or connects to a locally installed W@M Enterprise application.

FieldCare is available as a modular configuration tool upgradeable up to a Plant Asset Management solution. In 2010, FieldCare was delivered with more than 120,000 Endress+Hauser devices. They are actually more than 9000 sold FieldCare licenses worldwide.

Device Configuration History
As of FieldCare version 2.08.00, off and online device configurations can be uploaded to a W@M Enterprise application, providing a historical record of device settings.

Should a device be replaced by another with a different firmware version, it is possible to compare the current settings (and parameters) with those of the previous device. The user needs only click on the device node in the network view and select the compare function. Differences in parameters and settings are then highlighted in red.

FieldCare Device Setup
FieldCare Device Setup is the common device configuration tool for Endress+Hauser instruments and third-party devices with the corresponding DTM. It migrate the well known Endress+Hauser "ToF Tool - Fieldtool Package". FieldCare Device Setup is free of charge and can be downloaded under FieldCare Download.

FieldCare Device Setup offers:

User Management
Access to plant information is controlled by user name and password. Users are assigned specific access rights, e.g. viewing only, full configuration rights, etc.

Document Management
FieldCare Plant View allows the plant network to be mapped and documents to be stored at each of the nodes.

Condition Monitoring extension
The optional Condition Monitoring module extracts information from selected devices and alerts users of a tendency towards failure. Since Condition Monitoring combines operating and instrument knowhow, it is always engineered together with potential users expressly for their needs.

Proof of Function
Condition Monitoring can also be used to prove functionality. Many Liquiphants are used in overspill protection applications where regular functional tests are required by company regulations or national law. By monitoring the operating frequency range, the user can not only provide proof of function without interruption of the process for mechanical tests, but also receives advanced warning of any corrosion or build-up on the forks.

Evidence is provided in the form of printable trend analyses or device reports.
