EXO Total Algae Sensor Combines Chlorophyll And Blue-Green Algae For Greater Accuracy Q&A

Source: YSI, a Xylem brand

EXO water quality sondes break the sonde barrier in several ways, one of which is the new technology and unique design of several of the EXO water quality sensors, including Total Algae:

Q: How is the EXO total algae sensor design different than other water quality sensor?

A: The EXO total algae sensor combines a chlorophyll sensor and blue-green algae phycocyanin (BGA - PC) sensor into one submersible, dual-channel fluorescence sensor. The unique combination is highly accurate, and also saves space on the EXO sonde by using one sensor port instead of two, thus freeing up a port for additional optical or physico-chemical sensors.
