EIMCO to Market Advent Wastewater Treatment System

EIMCO Process Equipment, of Salt Lake City, Utah, recently acquired international marketing rights to the Advent Integral System for industrial wastewater treatment. This system is a novel activated sludge process that combines aerobic biotreatment and secondary clarification in a single vessel, requiring no moving parts for solids collection, recycle or discharge.

Advent treatment systems are said to occupy substantially smaller footprints than conventional activated sludge systems, and their mechanical simplicity means reductions in typical operation and maintenance costs can be achieved.

The EIMCO Advent system is effective for:

• treatment of high strenght chemical oxygen demand (COD) waste streams;
• treatment of benzene, toluene, xylene, ammonia and phenol;
• lagoon retrofits and upgrades;
• limited space requirements; and
• applications where nitrification/denitrification is required.
