ECS Ready For The Future As Water Equipment Show Focuses On New Horizons

An ultra busy day is being planned for as ECS Engineering Services prepares its stand (number F52) for the Water Equipment Show, Telford, 16 May.

Known as the Pump Centre Conference and Exhibition, ECS has regularly attended the event. This year the organisers say the number of visitors is expected to reach a new high of over 1100 water and pump industry professionals – and if last year is a guide many will spend time with ECS.

The theme of this year’s show is Pumps & Pumping Systems – New Horizons, so ECS will be showing a range of its pumps and related equipment. It is also expecting discussions on new Ofwat regulations that will come into effect in the water industry in 2020.

The new regulatory approach will be outcomes-based, focusing on what matters to customers and wider society, now and in the future. It will also seek to protect the environment and encourage market-based solutions. A key objective is to raise public awareness of water related issues, such as the Environment Agency’s recent warning of national water shortages within 25 years.

New pump technologies will play a major part in reducing water wastage, as will renewal and modernisation of the distribution systems. ECS is always developing new and improved ways to ensure the long-term reliability of pumps and related equipment, with the objectives of improving operations while lowering the total cost of ownership over the life of the plant.

ECS Operations Director, Jamie Wesley, says: “ECS can develop pump system designs that are intelligent, innovative and which precisely meet the needs of each individual site. We also maintain all the support services needed to optimise long-term asset management and are able to adapt or upgrade installations if requirements change over time.

“Naturally, we will be happy to meet people at the Water Equipment Show who would like to partner with us and help achieve these long-term goals.”

ECS has a decades-long history of working on large-scale pump installations, having built, refurbished and upgraded pumping assets all over the country. As a full electro-mechanical service provider, it can offer turnkey supply of water, energy and environmental management installations for water utilities, power companies, government agencies and private companies.
