EasyMining And EPS Water Sign Letter Of Intent To Advance Nitrogen Recovery Technology In The UK And Ireland
EasyMining, a global provider of advanced resource recovery technologies, and EPS Water, a leading engineering and project delivery partner in the water and wastewater sector, have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to establish a strategic collaboration for the promotion and delivery of EasyMining’s Aqua2N nitrogen removal and recovery technology across the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The LOI outlines the Parties’ shared intention to develop a long-term partnership focused on bringing circular nitrogen recovery solutions to municipal and industrial wastewater treatment facilities in the UK and Irish markets. Under the agreement, EPS will act as EasyMining’s exclusive partner for representing and promoting the Aqua2N technology in the region during the LOI period, subject to progress toward commercial project opportunities.
The collaboration combines EasyMining’s Aqua2N process expertise with EPS’s strong local market presence, engineering capabilities, and proven track record in delivering complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Together, the Parties aim to support utilities and asset owners in meeting increasingly stringent environmental regulations while enabling resource recovery and circular water management.
“This Letter of Intent marks an important step in expanding Aqua2N’s footprint in the UK and Ireland,” says John Svärd, EasyMining. “By partnering with EPS, we are joining forces with a highly capable local organization that understands the regional market, regulatory landscape, and delivery requirements. We see strong alignment in our ambition to offer sustainable, high-performance nitrogen recovery solutions.”
Under the collaboration framework, EasyMining will retain responsibility for the core Aqua2N process design, technology packages, and process performance, while EPS will lead local project execution, including engineering, off-site construction, installation, and commissioning activities. This integrated delivery model is intended to ensure efficient project execution while maintaining the integrity and performance of the Aqua2N technology.
Shaun Stevens, EPS Water, adds: “We are pleased to enter into this LOI with EasyMining and to explore the deployment of Aqua2N in the UK and Ireland. Nutrient management is a growing priority for our clients, and Aqua2N offers a compelling approach that goes beyond removal to enable true resource recovery. This collaboration aligns well with EPS’s commitment to delivering innovative and sustainable water solutions through modern methods of construction.”
The Parties intend to work toward finalising a binding Partnership Agreement within nine months of signing the LOI. This future agreement is expected to define the detailed commercial framework, delivery models, and long-term collaboration principles for Aqua2N projects in the region
