Dresser Piping Specialties is a part of Dresser, Inc. a Dallas, Texas based company serving energy-related and other principal markets. Dresser actually had its beginnings in Bradford, Pennsylvania, when Solomon R. Dresser developed and proved the first leak-proof pipe coupling by building his own Dresser-coupled natural gas pipeline in the late 1880's. This pipe coupling business has remained in Bradford over the years, where it maintains a position as a leading supplier of pipeline materials for natural gas, water distribution and industrial plant pipelines worldwide.
