Dow Water & Process Solutions, a division of The Dow Chemical Company (Dow), will showcase its latest solutions and industry-leading expertise in booth #123 during the Water Quality Association's Aquatech USA event at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., March 10-12, 2010.

Highlighted products include:

  • DOW FILMTEC residential reverse osmosis (RO) membrane elements – A result of Dow's investment in the design and construction of innovative home drinking water solutions, the four new residential RO elements are NSF/ANSI 58-certified and meet both U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Safe Drinking Water Act standards ensuring that RO membranes provide a barrier to bacteria and virus resulting in healthier better-tasting water for drinking and cooking.
  • DOW Ultrafiltration SFP-2880 – A pressure-driven membrane separation process that removes particulate matter, bacteria and most viruses and colloids from treated water. For use in RO pretreatment, as well as water re-use and drinking water applications.
  • DOW Electrodeionization (EDI) – A chemical-free separation process that combines electrodialysis and conventional ion exchange, based on a patented spiral-wound membrane. Extensively used in combination with reverse osmosis where high-purity water is critical, including the power generation industry.
  • DOWEX HCR-S/S ion exchange resin – A high-capacity cation exchange resin with excellent kinetics and good physical, chemical and thermal stability the HCR-S/S DOWEX HCR-S/S is ideal for domestic applications in the co-current mode of regeneration.

As part of the event's general session Tuesday, March 9, DW&PS technical expert, Bill Loyd, will deliver a presentation on single pass reverse osmosis and electrodeionization from 3:00-3:50 p.m. Loyd's expertise will also be on display Wednesday, March 10, from 3:30-4:15 p.m. in the Aquastage 4 session on reverse osmosis troubleshooting. Industry experts from Dow Water & Process Solutions will also share best practices in applying innovative, technology-based solutions for residential and industrial water treatment applications during the following in-booth education sessions:
