Doosan Vina Exports 2,040 Tons Of Desalination Equipment To The Kingdom Of Bahrain

Doosan Heavy Industries Vietnam, Dung Quat Economic Zone, Binh Thuan Commune, Binh Son District, Quang Ngai Province, Vietnam, on April 3, 2020: In only less than a half month, Doosan Vina in Quang Ngai Province has shipped two heavy industrial product projects oversea with a total weight of 4,548 tons. The first shipment consisted of 15 modules weighing 2,508 tons to the Ruwais Refinery in Abu Dhabi on March 21, 2020 and the second one consisted of three equipment used in the process of filtering seawater weighing 2,040 tons to the kingdom of Bahrain on April 3, 2020.

The three exported equipment today were the Evaporator, Final-Effect and Seawater Heater under the Bapco MED project which was signed between Doosan Vina and Samsung Engineering Construction Limited in October 2018. They will be responsible for heating and turning seawater into distilled water at the Bapco Refinery in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

With a big weight and size (32m long, 18m high, 18m wide and 654 tons heavy), it took experts 10 days to load these equipment on the vessel board with the assistance of the Self-propelled Modular Transporters.

“Due to the quite heavy workload, apart from our 150 employees, we have to hire 50 workers from three subcontractors including OGS, INSU and Thaco to ensure the project's production schedule. The project is now completed after 12 months of implementation”, Do Quoc Vuong, Acting Director of Doosan Vina's Water shop said.

The completion of these two big orders in the recent complicated Covid-19 epidemic situation is considered a great success of Doosan Vina. They have also contributed to increasing the export turnover of Quang Ngai province in these fluctuation months of the year.

“At present, we have both stepped up to against the Covid-19 epidemic and implemented solutions to boost our production and export. These are our two urgent missions. We have to increase manpower to fulfill 29 domestic and abroad projects with a total of nearly 50,000 tons this year. In addition to the existing shop floors, we have expanded our areas of workshop, erection and packing to meet the company’s production needs”, Kim Kibum, Director of Doosan Vina's Strategy Division shared.

The completion of these big orders once again proves for the high competence and technical skills of the Vietnamese employees. To date, "Made in Vietnam" products by Doosan Vina have been presence and are operating in 35 countries around the world.
