Diehl Metering Launches New Generation ALTAIR V5 Water Meters

Diehl Metering proudly announces the launch of the ALTAIR V5, a nextgeneration volumetric water meter. Building on the legacy of the ALTAIR V4 of which over 30 million units have been sold worldwide, the ALTAIR V5 is lighter, more efficient, and engineered for long-term performance.

A legacy of excellence, reimagined for sustainability The ALTAIR V5 inherits the proven reliability of its predecessor while introducing significant improvements in design, materials, manufacturing, and logistics. These enhancements reduce the meter’s environmental impact and support customers in their efforts to manage water more sustainably.

Certified up to R1000 standards, the ALTAIR V5 delivers metrological excellence for a minimum of 15 years. Its high accuracy enables early leak detection, reduces Non-Revenue Water (NRW), and secures investments in digitalized network infrastructures.

By integrating the modular IZAR radio modules, the device transforms into a fully connected smart meter, compatible with LoRaWAN, mioty, and NB-IoT networks. This connectivity enables real-time data transmission every 15 minutes, empowering utilities to detect leaks early and optimize maintenance strategies with unprecedented precision.
