Operator and Maintainer Courses Ensure Safe and Optimised Water Treatment Assets

De Nora has been selected by Severn Trent Water Ltd to deliver bespoke, training courses on drinking water disinfection, gas feed equipment and critical safety shut down systems.

Front line operational and maintenance staff from Severn Trent will be upskilled in the use of the De Nora Capital Controls® gas feed disinfection and critical safety systems - including the Cyl-Safe cylinder shutdown systems - receiving updates on the technologies and best practice techniques to achieve optimum TOTEX (Total Expenditure) throughout the significant installed base across the Severn Trent Region.

Eight training courses will be delivered by De Nora’s team of qualified trainers at the company’s dedicated training facilities, centrally located just off the Midlands’ motorways in Tamworth, Warwickshire. In addition to those previously trained by De Nora, almost 50 personnel involved in the safeguarding of drinking water supplies will benefit from improved skills and knowledge.

Courses run over two to three days, depending on the subject matter, and involve classroom components as well as hands-on exercises.

Commenting on the suitability and benefits of the course, one delegate said: “It was amongst some of the most relevant to our ‘day job’ training we have received in many years; really useful theory and hands-on knowledge and tips.”
