Headquartered in beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Computare was founded in 1979 by our president, Mr. Henry A. Reeves, CPA. Mr. Reeves' vision was to establish a software development company focused on providing municipalities and utility companies with state-of-the-art information systems and utility billing software. Computare's Customer Utility Billing System, CUBS® provides utilities with the software tools necessary to handle the accounting, billing, collections, work order processing and management reporting on a daily basis.
Along with his wife and vice president, Lynn Foster, Mr. Reeves has guided Computare through 20 years of steady growth. The Company's vision of providing a stimulating atmosphere of cooperative programming, visionary technical development, and open communications has established Computare as one of the best places to work in the technology driven area of Charlottesville.

Since its inception, Computare has installed many versions of CUBS® throughout the US and abroad. The first installation of CUBS® was for the City of Charlottesville in 1981. This installation, along with many subsequent installations, gave Computare personnel the opportunity to work directly with Public Works Directors, Billing Supervisors, Customer Service Managers, and Field Personnel in the design and updating of CUBS®.

Today, almost 20 years later, Computare personnel continue to work closely with leaders in the billing industry to ensure that CUBS® provides the features, functionality, and flexibility required by users for the 21st century.
