Centrisys Continues To Set A Global Standard For Dewaterability Innovation And Technology

Visit Centrisys/CNP at WEFTEC Booth #4209 to learn how technologies ready wastewater treatment plants for the future and drive millions in savings

Centrisys Corporation, a leading North American manufacturer of dewatering and thickening centrifuges, announced recently its participation at WEFTEC 2016 with partner company, CNP Technology Water and Biosolids Corporation. Company executives, including Michael Kopper, Centrisys CEO and Founder, and Gerhard Forstner, CNP President, will be available to the media for first-hand insights on long-term, sustainable solutions for biosolids management.

Stop by the Centrisys/CNP exhibit to discover more about:

  • THK Thickener from Centrisys – This innovative technology that reduces the liquid volume within the sludge stream will be on display. The thickening technology yields higher thickening efficiency with composition of seven percent solids, lower energy consumption, higher capacity and polymer cost savings.
  • PONDUS Thermo-Chemical Hydrolysis Process (TCHP) from CNP – The first-of-its-kind technology in North America leverages thermal energy and chemical sodium hydroxide, breaking down cell walls of the microorganisms in waste activated sludge, and rendering the sludge more digestible by the anaerobic digesters – ultimately allowing methane to be derived for energy reuse.
  • AirPrex from CNP – The sludge optimization and phosphorus recovery system simultaneously helps wastewater treatment plants to optimize their sludge treatment processes and cost-effectively reduce problematic struvite buildup, resulting in overall plant efficiencies and significant operational cost savings. This breakthrough process also produces a high-phosphate fertilizer that can serve as a revenue source for treatment plants.

Additionally, Forstner and H. Yoshida, Centrisys Technical Analyst, will present session #605, Conditioning for Thickening and Dewatering: Impact of Hydrolysis and Bio-P Removal Processes on Biosolids Dewaterability and Polymer Consumption in the Dewatering Process. The session will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 3:30 p.m. in room 242.

“With nearly $300B in projected capital investment needs for the nation’s wastewater infrastructure over the next two decades, industry leaders must look carefully at the landscape of growing demands on their plants,” said Kopper. “At WEFTEC, we’re excited to share our technological advances and unique ability to develop customized, integrated solutions that are right for each plant’s needs.”
