Centrisys/CNP To Spotlight Thermal Hydrolysis Insights And PONDUS Advancements At WEF Residuals And Biosolids Conference

Centrisys/CNP will exhibit nutrient recovery and biosolids treatment technologies in Booth #1514 at the Joint Conference: Residuals & Biosolids and Innovations in Treatment Technology (RBITT)

Centrisys/CNP, a leading North American manufacturer of decanter centrifuges and advanced biosolids treatment technologies, will exhibit at the 2025 Joint Conference: Residuals & Biosolids and Innovations in Treatment Technology (RBITT), hosted by the Water Environment Federation (WEF) and the Chesapeake Water Environment Association. The conference will occur May 6–9, 2025, at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Centrisys/CNP will showcase its solutions for nutrient recovery and solids processing in booth #1514.

“Our goal is to help utilities uncover the full picture of biosolids treatment—from implementation to long-term operation,” said Michael Kopper, CEO and Founder of Centrisys/CNP. “Through technology like PONDUS and insights from thermal hydrolysis projects nationwide, we’re equipping our partners with the knowledge and tools to improve performance and realize greater value from their biosolids programs.”

Centrisys/CNP will highlight key considerations in complete thermal hydrolysis process (THP) implementation, with a focus on identifying hidden costs that can impact long-term success. Attendees can visit the booth to explore how THP solutions intersect with plant-wide operational strategies, including:

  • Infrastructure modifications for high-pressure, high-temperature systems
  • Energy consumption and budget implications
  • Maintenance demands for critical system components
  • Specialized staffing and training requirements

Centrisys/CNP will feature PONDUS, a proven thermal/alkaline hydrolysis solution designed to treat solids from 4 percent to 12 percent. By using a combination of caustic soda and low-grade heated water (140 °F to 160 °F), PONDUS efficiently breaks down biosolids to improve downstream processing, increase biogas yield, and reduce operational costs.

Conference attendees are encouraged to attend the session “Pima’s Plural Purposes for PONDUS” on Thursday, May 8 at 8:30 AM.

Speakers:

  • Adam Parmenter, HDR – a biosolids process design expert with two decades of experience designing and troubleshooting facilities across the U.S.
  • Jeff Prevatt, Pima County – Deputy Director overseeing seven water reclamation facilities and chair of WEF’s RNG Task Force.

About the Joint Conference: RBITT
The 2025 Joint Conference offers a comprehensive program divided into three focus areas: Pre-Conference Workshops and Tours, Residuals and Biosolids, and Innovations in Treatment Technology. One registration provides access to all sessions, giving attendees the flexibility to explore a wide range of topics critical to wastewater, solids treatment, and resource recovery.

Centrisys/CNP invites attendees to visit booth #1514 to learn how the company’s technologies and expertise can support utilities in meeting evolving treatment goals through smart, sustainable biosolids solutions.
