Centerdisc CDI

GL&V/Celleco Centerdisc CDI's unique feature is the absence of a centershaft. Instead, a large diameter rotor is used, which allows for a central collection trough for the thickened pulp. If necessary, the trough can be equipped with a screw conveyor. The sheet discharge method eliminates the need for chutes between the discs. As a result, the CDI filter can be used in applications where conventional disc filters are unsuitable, for example the dewatering of pulps in the freeness range. Due to the absence of chutes, the distance between the discs is short. As a result, the CDI filter is a very compact unit.
