BOC Gases and PCI-WEDECO Establish Ozone and Water Treatment Laboratory
BOC Gases and PCI-WEDECO further strengthened their recent ozone marketing and R&D alliance by joining forces to establish an ozone and wastewater treatment laboratory.
PCI-WEDWCO, headquartered in West Caldwell, NJ, is a leader in the field of ozone-based environmental technologies. BOC Gases is a world leader in the production and distribution of industrial gases and innovative applications of gases to customer processes. Ozone is used in a variety of applications to safely and efficiently treat contaminated drinking water, ground water, process water and waste water, as well as soil and air.
The new laboratory, located at BOC Gases' R&D facility in Murray Hill, NJ, will enable BOC and PCI-WEDECO to evaluate alternative water treatment technologies as part of their offer to provide customers with cost--effective solutions for process oxidation and waste treatment.
Ozone is one of the most powerful oxidants known to science, and reacts with both organic and inorganic substances. Although ozone can be produced using either pure oxygen or air, oxygen feed provides the most efficient, least costly method available. Ozone is an alternative to other oxidation agents such as chlorine because it produces no harmful by-products.
PCI-WEDECO Environmental Technologies, Inc., a division of WEDECO GmbH, Dòsseldorf, Germany, specializes in the development of environmentally beneficial and cost-effective processes for the treatment of water, soil and air.
BOC Gases is the industrial gases business of The BOC Group, the worldwide industrial gases, vacuum technologies and distribution services company operating in more than 60 countries.
