Automata was founded in 1975 by Lenny Feuer, president and chief engineer of Automata. He saw a need for a system that monitored irrigation and weather for agriculture. Over the past 2 decades, Automata's products have been used in many different regions of the world for many different applications and services. Changes in the weather are monitored, recorded, and used to predict frost, insect emergence and plant diseases, irrigation control is used to irrigate fields and to manage canal, river, and reservoir levels, and level sensors and soil moisture sensors are used to monitor drainage in land fills.
