Atlantic Coast Polymers Expands Texas Operations In Lockhart
ACP to add jobs and expand regional presence with new facility
Lockhart Mayor Lew White boasted that the city is experiencing exciting growth including three planned developments along SH130 that will help create more jobs. Mayor White continued, “This growth in addition to the opening of ACP and the upcoming Circuit of the Americas will continue to bring opportunities to our fair city.”
ACP worked through the Opportunity Austin initiative at the Austin Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development and Tourism division of the Office of the Governor, and the Lockhart Economic Development Corporation to facilitate this expansion. “ACP’s expansion into Lockhart illustrates the strength of the region in recruiting and retaining companies in key industries,” said Gary Farmer, Chairman of Opportunity Austin. “Our collaborative approach to economic development with our regional partners continues to bring prosperity and opportunity to Central Texas.”
Stuart Siegele, ACP’s President added, “the primary reasons for ACP expanding to Lockhart was the forethought of the Lockhart development group to purchase a great facility that we could get into quickly, assisting in the financing, and the day-to-day guidance of Lockhart Economic Development Department Director Sandra Mauldin, Lockhart City Manager Vance Rodgers, and Lockhart Director of Finance Jeff Hinson, to assure any impediments to locating in Lockhart were rapidly addressed. I would also like to thank the Lockhart City Council for our warm welcome to the community.”
