Perfect alternative to high grade metals

Asahi/America Inc., the Wet Process People™, introduces a new line of Halar pipings and fittings for aggressive chemical applications. Halar is a great alternative for applications where high grade metals fail and where PFA and PTFE are too expensive. Halar, which is composed of a copolymer of ethylene and chlorotrifluoroethylene, has excellent chemical resistance in most acids, bases and solvents. It is an excellent alternative to PFA pipings and fittings; Halar offers the advantages of lower permeation rates, superior surface finish, improved welding and is more cost efficient than its competitors.

Halar is available in Butt Fusion Fittings and can be welded using Asahi/America IR Joining equipment. In addition to pipe fittings and valves, Transition fittings (Pipe to Flare connections) are now available in Halar as a molded product.
