Arsenic Removal Pilot Study Meets California Standards

Well water from several locations in Ridgecrest, California area is high in arsenic, carbonates and pH. Due to the high levels of arsenic, some wells are not being used to supply municipal water to the city of Ridgecrest and were shutdown. Due to local demand, the feasibility of treating these wells to remove most of the arsenic before blending with water from other wells is being investigated.

This pilot study was conducted to provide competing manufacturers an opportunity to demonstrate the effectiveness of their products, so that they may be considered as viable options for future groundwater treatment installations. This pilot test program was conducted at four existing wellsites located in Ridgecrest, CA and operated by the Indian Wells Valley Water District.
