AOI Showcases Locally Manufactured Water Treatment Technologies At IWWI 2026
The Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) is showcasing its locally manufactured water treatment technologies at the fifth International Water, Wastewater, Desalination, Reuse and Waste Treatment and Recycling Exhibition and Conference (IWWI 2026), held under the theme “Made in Egypt.”
The exhibition, inaugurated by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in Nasr City, runs from October 26 to 28 under the auspices of the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities.
AOI Chairman Major General Mohamed Abdel Fattah Abou Bakr said the organization has made significant progress in localizing advanced technologies for water desalination, purification, and domestic and industrial wastewater treatment.
He highlighted the AOI's success in manufacturing water pumps to international quality standards, with high local content aimed at reducing reliance on imports.
The locally manufactured products include vertical, horizontal, submersible and split-case pumps in various capacities, designed to meet the needs of the Housing Ministry and the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater.
Abou Bakr said expanding domestic pump production aligns with government efforts to strengthen local manufacturing, attract investment and position Egypt as a regional industrial hub under Egypt Vision 2030.
He also reaffirmed the AOI's commitment to supporting national water and wastewater infrastructure projects and expanding partnerships with the private sector to promote industrial integration, technology transfer and manufacturing competitiveness.
Meanwhile, the ministers of housing, military production and industry toured the AOI pavilion, praising its manufacturing capabilities, diverse products and efforts to localize advanced water treatment technologies.
