AMERICAN SpiralWeld Pipe, a subsidiary of AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, announces the imminent opening of a new facility to manufacture spiral-welded steel pipe in Paris, Texas.

AMERICAN SpiralWeld Pipe manufactures steel pipe in diameters up to 144 inches. Spiral-welded steel pipe applications include transmission, distribution and collection lines for water and wastewater; penstocks; water intakes and outfalls; and structural pilings. Large diameter steel water pipe brings together our water supply and water demand to satisfy the thirst of economic development across the country.

At its other facilities, AMERICAN manufactures ductile iron pipe, valves and hydrants for the waterworks industry, and electric-resistance-welded steel pipe for the energy industry. AMERICAN’s diversified product line also includes high performance fire pumps, structural casing and piling, castings for large machinery, and specialty rubber products.
