Pumps are critical assets that serve a wide range of functions in many industrial applications. Although industrial applications can vary widely, the main challenges are often the corrosive and abrasive nature of industrial fluids. The presence of corrosive chemicals or abrasive particles in industrial liquids require businesses to use highly complex metallurgy like austenitic, duplex, super austenitic and super alloy. These alloy materials are made of nickel, chromium, molybdenum, which are often very expensive, and the pumps made out of these materials require heavy investments.

However, an Industry may also have applications where the corrosive nature or the liquid may be moderate. Today’s modern wastewater pumps have the capacity to serve efficiently and economically in a variety of industrial applications. Specifically, submersible pumps constructed from a combination of cast iron and hard iron offer adequate protection against moderately corrosive water without the high costs often associated with specialty pumps. When combined with other advanced features, like small footprints and remote monitoring, these pumps offer greater value and ROI.
